First stamp down, several to go

We have our first stamp, and have officially started on our quest for Santiago de Compostela. As the Santiago church will not be open tomorrow at dawn, we decided to get our first stamp early and make sure we can make our way to Segovia without having to worry about our credentials in Madrid.

So tomorrow 6 June we will push off on our 8 day journey by bicycle to Santiago. We are packed and ready to go. Let's hope we have brought all that we will need. Our check-list was pretty comprehensive, but I am sure we will find out what the nice-to-have-had's will be as we will be needing them.

We will post regularly throughout the camino, so stay tuned if you want to know where we are and what we are up to. Well, cycling mostly I suspect.

I have heard some concerns (via via) that mountain biking is ecologically unsound... Well, I can guarantee all of you that besides the inevitable flatulence and the one-way flight back to Madrid, that this trip is as carbon neutral as it gets.

Hasta la próxima
